Description/activity:

Observations and digital image analyses of mineral separates and thin sections of rocks in transmitted, cross polarized and reflected light.

Equipment:

• Stereo microscope equipped with camera
• Transmitted light petrographic microscope equipped with camera.
• Reflected and transmitted light petrographic microscope
• Desktop computer equipped with graphic card NVIDIA RTX 2070 8GB
• KODAK scanner for slides and thin sections
