INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MATHEMATICS - MARCH 14
Meet us at the 2021 Virtual Launch
On March 14, we will celebrate the IDM with a series of short online talks about mathematics and how it makes the world better. We will have sessions in three different languages: English, French, and Spanish. All talks are aimed at a general audience. They will be streamed live through the IDM site completely free (and without any need to sign up).
All through the 48 hours of celebration (from its start as March 14 begins in Oceania), we will be liveblogging your pictures and videos from IDM events worldwide, posters, and more. Join in on March 14 by posting on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using the hashtag #idm314.
We created a new poster dedicated to this year's theme, Mathematics for a Better World. It has a blank space in the bottom where you can add information about your event, like URLs, time and place, etc. It's available in eight different languages (Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish).
We also made files you can print to create your own IDM pins and a foldable version of the icosahedral globe featured in the poster.
Celebrate Mathematics next March 14
Connect with your classroom, colleagues, friends, or fellow math lovers and celebrate mathematics together on the International Day of Mathematics.
Have a day of mathematical games and puzzles, prepare a talk, draw a celebratory poster, or take a look at our activity ideas. We also have resources to decorate and announce your event.
Once your plans are set, put your event on our map and let the world know
